So my group of Hawkers, the North Port Revenant, went strait from messing with the Fog Hounds in season 1 to “Let’s blow up the Crow’s Nest!” in season 2 when I revealed that the Crows had just barely interfered with one of their drug dealers. As far as I know none of them watch actual plays, so they didn’t just get the idea from the Bloodletters.
How many of y’all have had crews threatening to blow up the Crow’s Nest? Is this a common thing?
To be fair, my group blows things up and starts fires by default. They got their name by burning down a warehouse in the Old North Port.
I don’t recall whether my crew ever went after the Crow’s Nest, but they did tend to solve their problems with fire and/or explosions. Sometimes even on purpose!
Our Cult sneaked into the Crow’s Nest to use it as a Power Source to send Setarra to destroy the Crows after they had weakened themselves in the War in Crow’s Foot.
I think The Crows are “properly placed and suited for stabbing” to misquote a saying in my country. Stabbing can off course be substituted by lot’s of different verbs, like exploded or dismembered.
As the primary landmark of Crow’s Foot and HQ of that sociopath Lyssa (both part of the book’s proposed starting situation), it wouldn’t surprise me if it gets blown up more than any other landmark in Doskvol. Our crew considered it but instead blew up the Red Sash Sword Academy. It was similarly out of proportion with the affront that Mylera had given the crew by apparently condescending to them at an art gallery??? Good stuff.
Hell, I’m not sure you can comfortably end a “season” of Blades without blowing up at least one Doskvol landmark. The Crows never figured prominently in my game, but you better believe the Red Sashes HQ was reduced to cinders during the Iruvian New Year’s festivities.
