Might get to run my first playtest of the QS tonight. Quick question about items: Are all items in the ‘grey’ section of the character sheet also owned by every PC, to be gathered up for a score as needed? Or are those items that need to be rolled to obtain on a temporary basis?
Just curious if every PC is supposed to be walking around with several Fine items in pocket from the beginning of the game.
The grey items are for the playbooks on which they are written, no one else. What this character does with them its on his behalf…
You have access to all the items on your sheet. Choose which ones you’re carrying.
Out of curiosity, is “You own all of your items” (p. 30) an ambiguous phrase? I thought it was clear, but maybe there’s a better way to say that.
if they are yours ,they are already supposed to be owned for you,no?
it could be better
“You have access to all the items on your sheet. Choose which ones you’re carrying.”
What do you think?
It’s not all that ambiguous… call it a D&D reflex on my part. “Are they supposed to have all these magic items at 1st level??” Thanks for the clarification.
I would change it to:
“You own all of the items on your character sheet.” The original, “You own all of your items,” is tautological and leads to this confusion.
I’m w/ Daniel and Xose, although my suggestion would be something like “You have the following items at your hideout, choose what you take on the heist.” At this point it’s all saying the same thing differently, I just don’t like saying “character sheet” 🙁
Except that one of the players in our group took a Devil’s Bargain that their fine item was actually owned by Baz and he wanted it back…
