So I’ve been replaying through the Knife of Dunwall… The meatjack mission has given me much food for thought (pun intended with aplomb!).
The whole leviathan ‘processing’ subplot of the game is so ripe for scoundrel fiction. I’m definitely including the meatjacks as a faction in our game.
One way to get whale-like harvest and sidestep the immortality of the leviathans would be to have them “bud” and create smaller mortal spawn. When they fight in the deep, the torn off appendages regrow out into independent but profoundly flawed creatures that CAN be slain.
Oooh, I like that Andrew. I was also imagining the vast entity that would encompass a Leviathan’s ghost spirit as it is wrested from its mortal coil in the butchery yards.
Yeah, one of my favourite levels.
I think my brain took this level and made it the Ink pumping facility our crew went into last week, and are continuing with tomorrow.
