Some old magical and peagan style protection against the spirits?

I also imagine long obsolet wardens of the wilderness sometimes appearing in the electrified cities and offer the renmains of their ancient craft, now nearly forgotten.

– Wax Witches, who bound spirits and their energy into candles. Horrors and wonders at candlelight.

– Spirit Shepards, who walks amit the Ghosts and Souls of the wastelands, with strange beasts at their command.

– Geardomancer, who builded clockworkengines and automatons long before electricity flickered on the rails, fueling their creations with the energy of spirits.

– Sellswords, who bear ancient weapons of holy knights, whoses names long forgotten, but their weapons still bear their ancient powers

Just some idea notes before I get my hands on the final book.

Basicly weird versions of Mage, Ranger, Artificer & Paladin

  1. Perhaps the lightning rail/barrier technology has been around since the cataclysm.  I presume the cataclysm occurred sometime before year 0, which seems implied to be when the Imperium was founded.

Though are some cool ideas though, and might work well for the cultists or something.
