John LeBoeuf-Little Yeah, and to share.
Couple of quick notes:
1. I think you have some cool stuff here. I like ‘Shamed’ as a trauma condition. I think your contacts are really toothy. I’m interested in the blanks for XP triggers. The idea of ‘dirty’ money versus ‘clean’ money is really cool. So there’s a lot here that’s neat.
2. You have a lot of powers. I think you get away with that because many of them are mechanics-first powers. For example, A Way With Words gives you +1d and +effect to persuade with writing, and doesn’t really have much in the way of fictional positioning. I think you could have fewer powers and punch up the fiction-side of those powers and it would be a better balance.
3. I think the skills are cool, but I don’t immediately understand them all. For instance – is operate used for hacking as well? Or is that engineer? I think this is just a naming thing. I laughed with glee at Terrorize though, so I think you’ve got some gems there too.
John LeBoeuf-Little Operate is meant more for Driving, Boating, and Flying. Engineer is the Tinker and Hacking skill.
I know I need to balance some of the abilities, I error on the side of extra powers, the core game made me feel a little restricted with the options.
I plan on filling in the blanks for xp triggers or making a list they could choose from.
