Hey! After reading some posts I wanted to know, just for fun: What are the name/s of your crew/s? and aren’t they great names for a rock band?!
I’m always the GM, so I didn’t get to name any of these, but all my players have awesome name ideas:
The first group I GM’d were called The Navel Warts (great name for a punk rock band), #theWarts for short.
My longest playing group (we went through all the QS iterations!) are #theMalkavs (maybe a geeky indie rock band?).
We had a one-shot session with some friends that were named the Elbow after their weapon of choice.
But my favorite crew name by far is #theNarrowStreetGentlemansClub

So far I have the Unrecommendables (who never named themselves, but I had to call them something, and one of the players suggested they used unrecommendable methods.)
Also the Professors (they also did not name themselves, but operate out of the university.)
The Seventh Moon, in my Version of the World, there are 6 moons in the Sky.
The Elbow also sounds like a punk band. Playing guitar with elbows and what not.
Now I can’t remember the gang name from the one session I ran… Will try to remember when I get home.

The Unrecommendables: Wu-Tang influenced hip hop with lots of dialogue and sound pulled from The Dirty Dozen and other old WWII movies and westerns. Most of the song lyrics are comparing life on the streets with HP Lovecraft-like existential horror, maddening abysses, being Chosen by demons a la one of the characters. Unfortunately, I do not know of a rap group that does this.
The Guttersnipe Gentleman’s Club was our first crew. They were two wealthy nobles and an young street urchin who helped free the poor orphans from Madame Sybille’s School for Lost Children. The escaped orphans formed the Guttersnipe’s gang of elite shadows.
The Telestic Order is our other crew. Comprised primarily of the brothers Black, Mollusca and Kwill; demonic brothers from dark Tycheros. The order is definitely a crew of thieves, but with dangerous tendencies towards employing cult like means for their heists. Demonic summoning and possession, ritual magic all feature in their pursuit of wealth and power.
