#BladesAgainstDarkness Turbo is here! This is a quick play version of the game intended for one-shots and short campaigns, but it should be perfect for Halloween night gaming!

  1. Andrea Mognon I would like to think not. I think an experienced GM and players will be able to play this with no prior knowledge of Blades. But it’s like World of Dungeons. Your ability to use this document depends a lot on how comfortable you are this type of RPG. Any questions you have about how things work are probably better explained in the full game.

  2. Lloyd Gyan Yeah, there is some quirk with Affinity Publisher that makes it so I have to export flattened or I get garbled text. I’m working on it 😉

  3. Hmm… I dunno I’m not sure I can tell you… Do you consider yourself advanced?

Okay fine… They are really just there because I couldn’t fit them on the front and they weren’t the core wizard/fighter/thief abilities. There’s no reason you couldn’t have them at the start.

  4. Dylan Green thanks – I only asked because I like to put small, self-contained games out for free at our convention, and any unexplained or disconnected rules/content leads to awkward questions or incomplete experiences. Loving the condensed BaD, and looking forward to the full rules being released in their final form!

  5. The cleaned up version posted. It’s the same link just a new version. Changes are really small. If anyone still has questions feel free to ask. If anyone does anything for Halloween I’d love to hear about it!

  6. Lloyd Gyan yeah I actually threw the Affinity Publisher forms for a bit of a loop with what was going wrong. One way or another I got a work around for the file size. 😅
