Thinking ahead to a Blades game I plan to run, I grabbed a bunch of the most characterful daguerrotypes I could find, put them together as cards, and slapped a space on them to write a name. Feel free to use them for your NPCs, and if you point me at more cool pictures I’ll happily add them. 🙂

  1. Wow, what a great compilation! Combined with the photo printer Rob Donoghue posted as part of his GM kit last week, this is something I’ll have to keep a tab on. Thanks!

  2. Only thing I’d like to improve: the name panels. Masking tape’s not exactly fitting. Anyone have an image of something that’d be more suitable?

Adam Minnie just searched for “daguerreotype” on Pinterest. Some of the portraits are known historical personages, but not sure about James Cordon. Page 8 top left is a criminal mugshot, as are all of the ones where they’re holding their hands up. Apparently hands were considered useful for identification back then.
