Nobody at our table has gotten arrested yet, but we’re currently sitting at -2 faction status with Ironhook, so I could see our scoundrels’ stays there being rougher than average. Likewise, if we had a strong positive status with the prison I would think the stay would be easier. Have y’all taken this into consideration in your games?

  1. ron d We’re assassins, and our first score was killing an inmate in the prison, so we took a hit with Ironhook. Our GM makes all our faction statuses player-facing, which I believe is the default anyway.

  2. They did what ?

    LOL

The guards must have loved that inmate if they feel like your crew deserves rough treatment.

Because why else would they care about a dead criminal ?

Also keep in mind that it is unlikely that a single criminal gang runs the prison.

I’d also argue that these assassins were bad at their job if they managed to make the Ironhook crew aware of the fact that they were responsible for the murder.

I suppose if your crew were to help out one of the wardens with a problem then the status would reset …

  3. Murdering a prisoner might very well upset the Ironhook staff. Criminals don’t get to do as they please, even if they’re simply culling a filthy herd. The prison belongs to the staff, not the inmates. A crew needs to earn the right to run amok. 😉

As far as faction status goes, I might caution affecting incarceration rolls as it can invade the benefits of prison claims. It can definitely help with scores and such, though.
