The book tells you why everything about ghosts isn’t specifically said (on page 5) – however, the rules do give you a nice starting point by defining a ghost as a spirit without a body, comprised of semi-solid electroplasmic vapor (page 210). So there’s that to get you started. And the Ghost playbook has PC traits that describe things that powerful ghosts might have too (see Manifest, 215), while all ghosts should have Ghost Form on their side. To me, that is saying “yes – they can flow through small openings – so unless its airtight, they’re able to pass through (and they would need to be more powerful to break that limitation)”

    Saying this much should open the discussion with your players about this subject, and talking through their dissent or agreement will settle any interpretive differences as needed.
