Artificer design ideas? I have two, but I think they are both lame.
1) A two load version of Hawker’s rigging to have instead of Bravos rigging. Could do this as an item upgrade instead.
2) A bandolier that is concealed. (To replace my default bandoliers, and have more total bandoliers).
My Whisper-cum-Leech had a handful of ideas that I never got around to trying out:
– A mobile and subtle communication device (a la the earpieces from Leverage) that utilized the electroplasm of a single ghost — the plasm can be separated but it’s still “one thing,” thus sound that resonates in one piece also resonates in the others – instant communication.
– A spark-craft grapnel and harness (a la Batman) for rapid ascent and descent — intended for it to grant Potency for particular Prowl rolls.
– Concealable armor that required one or two less Load boxes to carry.
– A ghost bomb that, when detonated, would draw rogue spirits toward it for a certain amount of time – great at parties!
– Goggles that permitted limited vision into the Ghost Field, primarily just for viewing the echoes of inanimate objects such as buildings — intended to use it to find secrets of the past with objects, like old rooms that were walled up or what scraps of paper looked like when they were whole.
– A electroplasm device that shorted out all other electroplasmic machines within a limited area — meant for putting out lights and so forth.
– A hand-held baton with a electroplasmic battery in the tip that could discharge a stunning shock (rather like a taser).
– Electroplasmic weaponry similar to a lightning hook or a Hound’s special ammunition, allowing the crew to hurt and destroy ghosts.
– A spark-craft light source that radiates a very specific frequency of bright light only visible when wearing goggles/glasses keyed to that frequency — thus the user can see as if it were brightly lit even when it’s pitch dark to everyone else.
– Pocket-sized spider hulls that utilize a minute amount of electroplasm (rather than a full ghost) for a limited task — equipped with specific tools, release one of these guys to scurry in, do a task, then return before its out of juice.
That’s what I can remember off the top of my head. I probably had other ideas but I didn’t write them all down. Hope that gets the creativity flowing!
