I added a first draft of a “dungeon” creation tool to my Blades in the Borderlands high fantasy hack. I also included drafts of the Ego mechanic (replaces vice), Rep/Tier modifications (replaces heat/wanted) and a new travel engagement action. Let me know what you think! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1MDt7vZYtdKchBtO49Vgxn7GxsUVKZ7243bqTAi-NjB0/edit?usp=sharing

  1. Eric Brunsell That post I made a couple weeks ago got me all excited and thinking about things and I’ve started work on my own high fantasy hack (touchstones are a bit all over the place but some major ones are Pillars of Eternity, Elder Scrolls, and Warcraft).

Would it be alright if I included your dungeon creation mechanic as part of my hack? I’d been leaning towards just leaving it for people to abstract, since I didn’t have any great ideas about how to include them explicitly, but your system is really good for that!

  2. Brock McCord I guess I really don’t know at this point. I have put in a fair amount of work on a hack too. No idea what the future of it is… I wouldn’t have a problem collaborating if our thoughts are headed in the same direction. Almost all that I have is posted on that Google Doc. I have a new version of claim maps (and changes to the mechanic) and additional character creation stuff. I also have the setting rolling around in my head.

  3. Eric Brunsell Fair enough!

It’s still extremely early days with my hack, and I’d like to get it in a much more presentable shape before I show it off, but I’d be happy to discuss ideas!
