Not as such, but I have been thinking about merging the Crew side of the game with Cortex Prime and a little bit of Best Friends.
I’ve seen a few threads discussing it. I even recall a thread with some serious mechanical thoughts to be hacked into Blades, I believe by the gent who created the heist deck. My own project morphed into a completely different thing mechanically.
The other day I realized that the Savage Worlds setting “Necessary Evil” would probably make a good Blades hack. It’s about supervillains being forced to fight back against an alien invasion after every superhero in the world is killed.
Not yet, I’m not. It does need to exist though, doesn’t it?
I was so disappointed by Necessary Evil. It made the alien tech so good that superpowers were too close to irrelevant.
Not “working on one” per session, but an idea’s been mulling around my head.
I pinned that much down while it was on my mind, but I’m not “working on it” at all. I’ve got other fish I’m frying. =)
Cool, I’ll take a look, thanks Andrew Shields!
Blaze Azelski and Adam Schwaninger, oh yeah, The Doomed is still in the works, I’m just wondering if anyone else was digging into supers.
I hope The Doomed starts getting worked on in the near future. Thats the one hack I’m looking forward to the most, Band of Blades being a close second!
Andrew Shields, I apologize for not mentioning you by name. My own hack started from the “Xeno” bits from Scum & Villainy and became something altogether different, but I still feel that your thoughts were pretty solid.
Perhaps a villain group, rather than the standard heroes would work. Might even be room for a vigilante “crew”.
Brandon Perkins No worries, it’s impossible to keep track of where we see everything online. =)
Yes. Ish.
I love supers stories, and I started a hack for hero and “fallen angel” stories like a year ago. I had a lot of playtesters into dark fiction at the time though, so I put it on the back burner. It’s been revisited several times, and a couple weeks ago I was working on it again from the other angle (villain stories) just to see how that looked.
So far, it’s brainstorming notes on possible new mechanics & custom XP trigger ideas. I hope to explore these ideas more soon with some interested players though: a Tiered power system compatible with Blades (offering chargen choices like “take energy manipulation Tier 3? or take one time manipulation Tier 1 and energy manipulation Tier 1 for some synergy? or is yours a superpower genesis story, to be uncovered in play?”). Downtime (does your super have limited powers requiring certain actions first like donning a cape, mask, etc? or constant ones?) Villain creation (who are they, how are they your antithesis, or a tempting possible ally?). City and leadership creation (what does the city leadership stand for? does this align with your ideals or conflict?). Lots of things came to mind which I want to explore more before focusing in and committing to page. But yes-ish.
I am planning on developing one in the future – based on the setting of my fantasy supers novel.
I’m mulling over the idea of doing one. That would be street-level heroes in a urban setting, with a gritty feel, which I think could work quite well with the Blades system. Also there aren’t many products overall in that segment. Working title: Urban Legions.

This is the closest I’ve seen (haven’t read more than the first page) for injecting superpowers: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ZcGjc0XEkme0XQjthUsWMtIXYebjvVgzn97-NtZMTSA/edit?usp=sharing
I’m working on one that’s still early in development. I can post a draft to the group once it’s a bit more fleshed out.
Wasn’t there a stretch goal about it?
Adam Schwaninger Yep, I just checked. The Doomed was supposed to be made by Sage Latorra.
Is that not a thing anymore?
Brandon Perkins Yes, I put together the bones of one way to do it here:
