Whoops, oops, I started making a weirdo hack influenced by Esoteric Christianity and depictions of the Buddhist hells in Japanese art called SEVEN HEADS while I’m meant to be working on A NOCTURNE, silly me.

Interesting. Out of curiosity, why almost use the Seven Deadly Sins?
Benjamin Davis Borrowing shamelessly from Buddhism. Felt like the Seven Deadly Sins might be a little played, and want to go for a slightly less-specific, more syncretic approach for the flavour.
Plus I wanted them to be passions to be driven by, rather than sins to commit. A slight distinction, I guess, but it felt right.
Fair enough.
So, how do you go about using Senses and Passions in this game?
God, the Five Senses for action ratings is brilliant.
“Whoops, oops..[multiple Blades hack at once]..silly me”
This is often how I feel
Oh, how do you always make such lovely things? I was just complaining that there’s no angel RPGs from the last decade…
Benjamin Davis As with Blades, player decides what Sense they’re using (as Thomas Berton notes, they’re basically action ratings), then decides whether they’re driven by Dispassion or one of the Six Passions. If they’re driven by one of the Six Passions, they’re basically making a Devil’s Bargain, but getting potentially a tonne of dice in return.
Early days yet, though, so this could all change based on playtesting.
Heavy, I really dig those passions.
