Oh, Max Gladstone’s new book Ruin of Angels has a lot of cool stuff to mine that’s pretty Blades-appropriate.

It’s a more modern setting but also has a world recovering from a magical cataclysm, falling into the ghost version of the city, artefact heists and soul-stuff scams. Recommended!

(This is actually the sixth book set in that world, but although the others are great they didn’t seem to call out to Blades so much).

  1. Roe Portal basically everything, like I said above. One of the main plot lines follows a crew who illegally steal artefacts from the ghost version of the city, Agdel Lex itself is broken in a way similar to the world of Blades, and there’s even trains going through the deathlands equivalent!
