This is great. I have a big email with Victorian slang printed out including a few of my own neologisms but I usually neglect them at the table.

Down: Suspicion. “To put down on someone” means to inform on that person’s plans.
Fancy, the: The brethren of the boxing ring.
Gulpy: Gullible, easily duped.
Kidsman: An organizer of child thieves
Lavender, in: (1) To be hidden from the police, (2) to be pawned, (3) to be put away, (4) to be dead.
Mug-hunter: a street robber or footpad. Hence the modern “Mugger”
Nibbed: Arrested
Ream Swag: Highly valuable stolen articles
Square-rigged: Soberly and respectfully dressed.
Twirls: Keys, esp skeleton keys.
