Hey, it’s been a while since I heard anything about Blades Against Darkness, in fact the only thing I found was a note in one of the KS updates from a few months ago that it was around 95% done. I was very excited about this, so I just wanted to see if there was any updates that I missed.

I’ll let Dylan speak for himself – but I know he finished a degree recently, and there’s been a number of updates (if you search this community) where he posted beta versions. Now that he has a bit more free time we may hear more news ^_~

Probably best to actually summon Dylan Green.
Delay is due to a couple of factors: Stras is correct, I just finished up a degree which consumed the better part of the last few months.
Additionally, I’ve been trying to patch holes in the design to make the game more workable. Right now I’m trying to encapsulate dungeon design into a process that can be done on the fly. I believe I have a method that will work. So now I’m just writing the content to fill that process which includes:
* General Dungeon components (what was this place’s purpose?)
* General agent components (who was here recently?)
* General Dungeon system components (how is this place part of a weird arcane computer?)
My goal is to have this conent fit on one page as a series of tables.
For each zone:
Tags for modifing the dungeon including, environment, hazards, monsters, lore, and quirks and features based on where the dungeon is.
Over the past month I’ve been learning InDesign and reworking the existing content.
My goal is for this information to fit on 1/2 – 1 page. I plan to include 6 zones.
Does that answer all your questions?
Thanks for all the info, Dylan Green!
I’m excited that people care enough to ask me about it 😁. I’m excited to get the last chunks of content filled out and I’m hoping to have the beta ready by the end of this month.
I’m litterally working on it right now.
That update sounds intense and intensely AWESOME.
