Hi everyone, does a recent FAQ has been uploaded somewhere

Hi everyone, does a recent FAQ has been uploaded somewhere ? I have a couple of question and i’m sure the majority can be cover by such document.

I’ll ask one of them anyway : what are the mechanical consequences for a extrem quality success (cannot find the answear in my pdf) does the mechanic was made to tick more than 3 segments on a clock ?

  1. Thanks, but it was not about critical, but about quality of effect. What are the mechanical consequences when your players, with multiple asset, achieve a “extrem effect” success ?

  2. Another one about the effect of tier between two faction.

If the players from a 0 tier crew, but with fine Tool, try something against a tier III faction. Does their success quality are reduce by only one degree or by two ? (Tier III – tier I (0+fine Tool) ?

  3. Honestly, the answer to both of your questions is simply that it’s up to you and your group to decide. Taking your second question as an example: some GMs play it hard and fast when it comes to quality ratings, while others have a greater consideration of the narrative, and yet most are more somewhere in between. Which is to say, a quality/tier difference of two degress could, in fact, mean an equal reduction in effect or position, but maybe you only reduce either by one level (or there’s no reduction at all) because the PCs outnumber their higher tiered foe(s) or because the player’s action was particularly creative and/or insightful, making use of their surroundings or an enemy’s flaw(s).

i.e. It depends on the situation. But even discounting the above: if you’re a so inclined, maybe you still only reduce it by one level because that makes more sense to you for whatever reason or that’s just how you like to play the game. Again, it really is for you to decide.

To more specifically answer your first question: “extreme” means more or better than “great”. To what degree is, again, up to you to decide. However, keep in mind that extreme effect isn’t necessarily one level higher than great (just as no effect isn’t necessarily one level lower than limited). Just because a player has increased effect on an action with great effect doesn’t mean they automatically get extreme effect. But, of course, that’s for you to decide. :p
