I was just showed an interesting planning program called Mind Maple and how some folks compiled noteworthy facts about a city in Toril, organizations and people the like. Has anyone used this in Blades games as yet?

  1. I’ve tried that sort of software before and I still find I work best with a physical notebook filled with half-legible scrawls most of which mean nothing to me a month later.

I didn’t say my method was GOOD I just said I preferred it. I figure it’s like the thing where some people legitimately function better with a messy workspace.

The notebook travels with me and I can flip from page to page quickly (often in frustration). The software mind mapper things are always intimidating. There’s so much pressure to actually USE the tools it gives you and organize things neatly, and I end up procrastinating and then straight up never using it at all. The notebook isn’t going to be more organized no matter what I do with it. I never feel like I’m somehow FAILING the notebook.
