Preorder/Backer update – News thing here!

A few news bits that I’m posting here because not everyone gets Kickstarter updates.

1. We’ve started charging the cards, but 32 of them were declined. Backerkit sent out email to correct those. If you received an email please respond quickly. Any orders that aren’t complete by 4/24 will be delayed in shipping.

2. Speaking of the 24th, that is also when we’re going to close down the hardcover preorder. If you want a copy of the standard edition, and you haven’t already, head over to https://bladesinthedark.backerkit.com/ and place your order pronto.

After 4/24 you can get a copy of Blades in the Dark either by:

* Purchasing the PDF on DriveThru: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/170689/Blades-in-the-Dark

* Wait till it is available for retail purchase either on our webstore (http://www.evilhat.com/store/) or through your Friendly Local Gaming Store.

3. Alliance will start shipping out standard editions once the receive them from the printer (estimated 4/25). Special editions should follow a couple weeks after that (estimated 5/12). Please note: it usually takes them two to three weeks to get all the shipments out, so if you hear about someone getting theirs and haven’t received your copy, fret not, it’s all part of the process.

Standard editions will start being sent to retail in May, once all the Kickstarter/BackerKit orders are shipped out.

  1. Mark Watson, yep. John is setting up the POD on Drivethru and he’ll release codes for that as well. If you’re out of the US and shipping will be much cheaper, that’s a good option, but if you’re in the US then going with the BackerKit pre-order (same price for Infiltrators and up) will get you a much nicer product (Hardcover, not POD).

  2. Horst Wurst Alliance will be shipping out using USPS. From the USPS site:

Using First Class Mail International, deliveries generally take between 7–21 days to arrive, although the USPS does not guarantee delivery dates or times. Mail may travel to its destination by ground, air or a combination of both.

  3. Brent Stanton nope they are the same.

    Standard edition = Hardcover

Special edition = Hardcover with bonus U’duasha content and special edition cover.

  4. I’m worried, Sean Nittner! I’ve yet to see my Blades book arrive. Should things have already arrived in Ohio? Is there any tracking info available? Am I just way too excited and over-eager??? (<

  5. Jake Householder, thanks for checking in. I just tracked your package and it was marked as undeliverable. I’ll email you with more deets.
