How does Not To Be Trifled With (Cutter special ability) interact with devil’s bargains? As I understand it, you cannot both push yourself and take a devil’s bargain on the same roll – but somehow it feels wrong, because the situations involving Not To Be Trifled With are usually rife with opportunities for fun bargains.

  1. I believe the way it works is:

You can’t push yourself for an extra die and take a devils bargain for an extra die. You can take a devils bargain and push yourself for increased effect or special abilities.

  2. Minor addition, you can also push yourself to ignore a harm. So if you had Level 3 harm and couldn’t move, a Cutter with NTBTW could push them self, take a devils’ bargain (say taking level 4 harm at the end of the move) and perform one amazing surge of strength or final stand against a gang of foes. Talk about going out with bang!
