After seeing the concepts for illusionist in a post bellow, I thought I’d start a discussion. What cool or interesting Playbooks can we come up with?

I have thoughts for an alternative Whisper that manipulates shadows.
Here are some fun experiments from summer of 2015. As you can see, the game developed in some different directions since then, but they’re still fun experiments.

Other than the illusionist, I’ve also thought of one called a Stance, who would be a duelist and more outwardly respectable seeming scoundrel.
I’m curious to see how the bluecoats, inspectors, spies, and revolutionaries turn out.
I’ve been toying with the idea of a Demon-blooded playbook,, but am still mulling how it might interact with being Tycherosi, if at all.
Ben Liepis In the Blades in the Dark setting, those with demon blood are elemental benders. =)
Andrew Shields, it’s funny you mention that because we have just that and it’s demonic (well, more “semi-demonic”) in source. I was going with more monstrous but that could work.
One thing I wanted to do is more Spectrological/Sparkcraft stuff, such as the Resurrected and Sparkflesh (cyborg) playbooks.
Yes, my original demon playbook was much more traditionally monstrous and less elemental focused.
Wouldn’t a cyborg basically be a Hull?
Thomas Berton, I wouldn’t think so. I’m talking about a living being enhanced by Sparktech, not a shell with a ghost in it.
Ghost in the shell…ha! You know, I think Hulls are now Shells in my game. 😉 (actually, shells are what we’re going to call special flesh bodies custom-made for inserting a spirit. We’re in the brainstorming phase)
You could potentially have a playbook for someone who’s not a professional scoundrel, called something like “Rookie” or “Greenhorn”. Unlike the other playbooks it wouldn’t have an identity of being cool at some specific thing and have special equipment for that purpose…
Coming up with equipment and ability for a character concept of vague and undetermined doesn’t make intuitive sense now that I think about it.
I’ve been working on a new Undead Playbook: The Werewolf. A human spirit possessing the body of a Skovlan ‘fimbulvulf’. A few ability ideas I’ve had are the ability to disguise yourself so you pass as a human, the ability to use your claws to climb walls, and the ability to let out a blood-curdling howl that stuns or intimidates enemies.
Anthony Donatello Good idea! I forgot I did something with a sort of possessed concept that could be skinned as a werewolf.

Why limit The Werewolf to requiring a specific animal? You could potentially have Mistport Weretigers, Blackvale Selkie and Sevorosi Horsehumans. The answer is most likely clarity of concept, now that I think of it.
If a ghost can possess a machine, a hollow or an animal, can a ghost possess a demon? It would probably be difficult since they don’t have any ghostfield presence but so don’t machines. If you wanted to take possession of a demon’s body you’d probably have to pick a particularly weak one. What about if this was called an Imp and it’d be a ghost playbook where you don’t have to feed yourself with electroplasm or life essence like the other three but instead you have to wrestle the demon blood that’s inside of you for dominance.
