Roll20 character sheet update
I’m happy to say that Roll20 has accepted my pull request and the new sheet will be going live soon (probably within a day or so).
If you are currently using the old sheet (or Tim’s original version of the sheet) and want to switch, copy the game first and only switch over the copy, since you will have to re-enter much of the data (hopefully assisted by sheet workers once you re-enter the playbook/crew type).
If you have any bug reports or suggestions, please go ahead and let me know!
Wonderful news! Thank you so much for doing this, Jakob.
Wow! These look amazing!
Awesome!
Beautiful. I guess this might cost roll20 some of its premium subscribers. Your sheets were the entire reason why I got premium.
Oliver Smock Interesting way of looking at it :D.
These sheets are great thanks guys. I’m trying to use Roll20 a bit better than I have previously. Is there anyway to call for a roll in a certain skill or attribute direct from the chat window? I know you can click on the particular skill to make a roll but can you do it without opening your character sheet?
Iain McAllister Not currently, but that’s a very simple feature to add. I’ll make it so that in the next version, the roll buttons are accessible as character abilities. You will then be able to enter e.g %{John|hunt}, or create macros with this text in the macro bar. Or just drag the buttons from the sheet to the macro bar.
Hey Jakob Oesinghaus would it be possible to get the link to the raw code of the sheets? I was helping a bit on the sheet Tim made before you took over and I am wanting to learn more about how certain things are working so I can improve my coding skills.
Sure, it’s at github.com – joesinghaus/Blades-in-the-Dark
Thanks friend. 🙂 And you and Tim have made a wonderful sheet BTW.
Huh. When I branch off it branches off a version that is 7 months old. I cant branch off the current version
I got a solution that worked.
Odd, maybe it forked Tim’s version? Anyway, great that you got it working now! 🙂
If you have any questions about how the code is set up or anything, feel free to ask… it may be a bit opaque if you don’t know in advance how everything is supposed to fit together.
Sure thing. What would be the best way to reach you other than in the comments of this post if I have questions?
You should be able to find me on Skype using my name.
Hi Jakob! I just noticed an error on the Bravos crew sheet. Their Barracks claim refers to Skulks, but it should refer to Thugs instead.
That’s what I get for copy-pasting stuff! 🙂 Thanks, I’ll fix it.
