What are the between the Special Edition Final/Final #2 and the Special Edition Pledge Download? I haven’t had the chance to look over them closely.

The v8.1 that I just downloaded from the Backerkit link appears to be the final pdf that is being printed/sent to the printers. The Backerkit title is “Blades in the Dark Digital Rewards Download of Standard”. I’ve not seen a d/l with the names you are listing.
Nigel Clarke is the v8.1 a “final” version with corrected typos, bookmarks, etc.?
I haven’t looked through it for typos but it does have bookmarks.
From what I’ve seen, John is basically just providing mirror links.
Nigel Clarke thanks! So, I’ll wait for the Drivethru upload of the v8.1 🙂
There is one rule change from v8 to v8.1 and that’s how Rep is calculated. The crew gets 2 Rep by default for a score +1 Rep for every Tier the opponent is above the crew or -1 Rep for very Tier lower they are. See page 146
I think that’s more of a correction as that’s going back to how Rep was previously calculated and I remember John saying it was an erorr when it was mentioned.
Now you get +2 heat if you acquire an illegal asset (drugs, alchemicals, sparkcraft,,.) instead of directly crafting it. Nice touch.
Yep, v8.1 is the final after the last round of revisions. v8.1 Special Edition is the same thing with the U’duasha content as well.
Sean Nittner , what’s the Special Edition Pledge? Just a different file name for the same content as Final #1/Final #2?
Ben Liepis. Kickstarter backers who pledged at Hardcase or higher, or BackerKit pre-orders of the Special Edition get the special edition book (once it’s shipped) and PDF (now) which contains 24 pages on U’duasha.
And a sweet 24 pages it is! Thanks, Sean.
Indeed. Can we possibly look forward to additional writeups on other cities in the Empire in some kind of supplement? I’d be interested to see the situations going on in Lockport, Wintercliff, or South Point.
Ben Morgan, John and I talked about Lockport, which might happen, but if it does, it will be a long way off (years). Lots of stretch goals to finish first!
A Blades almanac? Sounds like another KS… 🙂
Oh, the city icons in the world map have white and black dots. What are the differences? Or is it up to us?
Came here to ask the same question as Ben. Looks like all the established cities are white dots so maybe the black dots are towns/forts?
James English , I guess we all need to create them ourselves! 🙂
I just noticed that the rail to Tycheros doesn’t have a settlement/city icon. Interesting…perhaps there’s just a fortified roundhouse that monitors the traffic to and from the “Demon Isle”.
As far as the black icons are concerned they could be free cities-states that aren’t part of the Empire, but aren’t at open war or anything. It might stand to reason that not every piece of each nation just caved.
Or they’re smaller cities. 🙂
