Setting Question: When the ambient light increases to “twilight” at dawn and dusk, is the ember-like sun of the world actually visible? If so, does it appear in the same spot in the sky each day? Are dawn and dusk two different spots or are they the same? Does the sun basically come up a bit then set?

These are the kind of details my players love. Thanks!

  1. Come child, stand with me at the end of the pier. Look to the void sea and find your future. Do you see Kylastra’s Spear in the stars. See how she battles Oryxus in the west, but the eye of Ixis watches them both, patiently waiting for one to fall into the depths of the sea, forgotten forever.

Watch as the smoldering ember rises. It once chased the other stars from the sky but now they merely scoff at it from under the sea. Watch the sun first creep up over the horizon and so quickly reminded of it’s defeat, creep back down again.

Child, this is a warning. Never shine too bright. Never seek to rule over those beneath you. But instead be like wise Ixis and suborne your enemies to fight among themselves and proffer you up the ebon throne when the last drop of their blood has been spilled trying to claim it.

Now, that we’ve had your ethics lesson for the day, lets move to math, shall we?
