Hey John, say you’re playing in person, how do you like to record that you have +1 stress box or +1 trauma box on the sheet? Do you just take out a pen and draw a little flag next to your others or do you do something more clever than that?
I will also accept answers like “Idk it’s tricky” or “In the notes, I write ‘Extra Stress’ and draw circles next to it”. This is a very logistical question, not a rules question.
Yeah, I just draw an extra one on with a pen.
I’ve tried sheet designs that have extra boxes to use, but people just get confused. “Why do I have extra boxes?” “Do I really have 12 stress?” etc. etc.
John Harper Yup, gotcha! Reminds me of Vincent’s 5th xp box problem.
Yep, exactly.
John Harper , once we get the source files how difficult would it be for us to add a little grayed-in blade and white blade to the stress and trauma lines, respectively? Or is all the space accounted for?
Adam Sexton , what happened there?
Ben Liepis should be easy to do.
Personally, I’m fine with doodling all over the sheets but I know the players like neat little boxes. Thanks, John.
Ben Liepis In Apocalypse World, Vincent Baker tried a version of his character sheets where you have a 4-bubble xp track, because when you fill in the fifth xp bubble, you have to erase it in LITERALLY the same second.
Turns out people started getting confused
Oh, that makes sense. I see.
