2 crafting questions.
1. What effect, if any, would using the leech’s fine tinkering tools have on a craft roll?
2. If a gadget isn’t consummable, is it assumed to always be available until it breaks as a result of a roll or devil’s bargain?

1. I’d give +1 Effect for the tools. Great when working on projects.
2. I’d say so.
There are no clocks for a crafting roll, and no effect really, so that doesn’t apply here. They could give +1 quality, but is that too strong? My reading of the rules as written says they do nothing, but that feels unfair.
1. Since fine items stack with Tier, I believe they would effectively raise your crew’s Tier (and therefore the item’s quality) by one for the crafting roll.
2. Or until something else happens to them, but yeah, they stick around.
Hmm…unless. Fine items do increase your effective tier, and since crafting rolls are based on tier, perhaps they do effectively give you a +1 quality on the roll.
James Etheridge Yeah, I just came to the same conclusion after reading the Fine items section on page 24.
I wonder if Fine Documents upgrade (like reference books) would give you a +1 effect when Inventing too. That would be my guess at least.
Yep, my take on it is what James Etheridge said.
