For some Reason, I can’t get the Idea out of my Head that it would be awesome to have a Nautilus-Like Submarine in Blades.
What would that be?
A Crew type with the Submarine as their Base? (The Vestiges)
A very expensive Asset?
Maybe even a Faction? (Captain Nemo would be)
But it would be so awesome having such a device. Diving for old Artefacts, avoiding weird Fish and Leviathans, smuggling through the Water or even fighting Leviathan-Hunters?
What do you Guys think?
I think that might be awesome and could possibly work well with the leviathan hunter stretch goal.
Yeah, I can’t imagine this not working seamlessly with the LH stretch goal.
I can tell you my players would shit sunshine if they were on a hunting vessel and some gloss-black underblack machine covered in shifting silver runes breached the Ink!
The design of the Nautilus from the Disney 20,000 Leagues movie is one of my favorite things. It’s very welcome in Blades! 🙂
Smugglers can use a vehicle as one of their cohorts, could you do something with that?
Gordon McDonald I think the Nautilus would be a bit much for this Ability. You could sink really big Ships with it and such. Maybe when you pump a lot of Coin and advances into it before you get it?
But as a GM I would allow a small 1-2 Person Submarine the size of a big Shark fromthe Start as a Smugglers-Vehicle.
Could be interesting, especially because the Water is pitch black and putting Lights on these would give it away ^^ Lots of opportunities for higher Risk and hard choices.
I would imagine the sub would navigate by tapping into the Ghostfield.

There could also be some weird cult/whisper crew thing where they’ve devised a ship inside of a leviathan (think living spaceship type deal) and travel along the leviathan’s path to…. gods know what… 🙂
