I’m looking to get a Scum & Villainy game going with a max of 4 PCs. Very much planning on leaning into a larger than life, with a silly flair, Guardians of the Galaxy vibe.

Times would be 7-10pm EST Wed, Thur, or Friday, with Wednesday being the main preference. Game would start next week at the earliest (e.g. Nov 30th).

If people would be more interested, I could also look at running several one-shots so people can get a feel for the hack before committing to a longer game.

Obviously the game is still in the early design stages, but based on running a one shot this weekend, there’s enough there to get a game going with it.

  1. I would be interested as well, as Scum and Villainy sounds like a lot of fun, especially with a GotG tone. Wouldn’t mind doing a one shot to get a feel; last time I tried running Blades it wasn’t very smooth, but that was really early in development and I know the game has changed since then.

Wednesday would be the best night for me.

  2. James Etheridge Would you be able to do Thursday if it came down to it?

And yeah, Blades from the first release to final feels very different. John’s done a good job of streamlining mechanics.

  3. Thursday would be really tough. I get out of chem lab half an hour before game starts, and it takes me an hour to get home. Might be moving closer to campus in the next month or two, but until/unless that happens I’d have to squirrel up somewhere and use the university wifi for a few hours. Realistically it’s probably untenable.

Edit: Screw realism, push comes to shove I can make it work.

Ah, and if Friday comes up: I’m currently free, but I’m looking for work and that’s one night I’ll be listing as available, so I don’t know if it will remain open.

I’m on call this coming week, so I’m thinking we’ll do a one shot next week and continue from there if people want/it works with schedules. Right now it looks like Friday the 9th is the best shot. James, if you get a job before then let us know and we can pivot to Thursday night.

Still got room for 1 more player.

  5. Question, what about Thursday but moving the start time later by an hour so James Etheridge could play from home instead of having to stay late at university? (Like 8-11pm EST)? I’d have to definitely end no later than 11pm EST, but I could do it if it worked better for everyone else.

  6. Wait, wait. Sorry, but evidently I’m a dolt with terrible memory; I just double-checked my class schedule, and my late-running class is on Wednesday, not Thursday. So, no need to start later on my account, and Thursdays in general are fine! Again, apologies for the mix-up.
