A couple of weeks ago I made a post about using Blades in the Dark to play a gang in a Necromunda/Mega City One type setting. I probably won’t have time to do any serious work on the idea for a while, but I did do a quick reskin of the Cutter playbook to see how well it fit. It takes a lot of inspiration from Blades Against Darkness as well.

It’s probably full of typos, but its basically just a mock up for now.

Looks fantastic!
Like it.
Loved the city in Judge Dredd. Wish the movies had more psychic stuff.
I would want to play as a Judge (a la Vigilantes for playing as Bluecoats) but being the crimers sounds fun too
I like there being a lighter Heavy Armor option in a playbook, though I would probably give it to the Hound’s equivalent instead of the Cutter.
Also the layout is nice; the enlarged black bars to separate everything adds some clarity to the design. You going to make this? I might work on the Judges thing if you do..
Mark Cleveland Massengale The layout substantially copies Dylan Green’s Blades Against Darkness playbooks, so I can’t claim much credit.
I do intend to keep working on this, but I have a couple of other game design projects that will probably take more of my focus for the next little while. If you or anyone else have ideas though, I’d be happy to work together.
I am admittedly focused on game design of my own as well. I am happy to work on it but I feel ill-equipped to write it due to a serious lack of knowledge about the greater comic book meta. That being said, I still have a lot of ideas about how to modify Blades for running a game about being Judges though from my experiences with hacking it already for a bunch of settings and premises
I love this idea. Big fan of Necromunda, back in the day…
