I wanted to play around with having a character archetype that is not explicitly a criminal. Hoped to also highlight some rules/mechanics that might not get as much love otherwise.

That really good. I think I’ll add it to the pool of playbooks my player can a play. “all I need”, “fancy lighter” and “your day-job boss” are the best parts.
Although, can you elaborate a little on what exactly is the archetype you’re aiming for? double-agent normal-seeming dude with a normal day-job? I don’t think I quite grok it.
Thanks for the complement! I was trying to Ape the archetype of a character who lives a double life with one foot lawful and the other in crime. I tried to keep in line with the other archetypes by letting the player define what sort of “Double” you want to be based on the abilities you pick. I hope that by creating several abilities that voluntarily allow you to put your Double deeper in trouble I conveyed the tension/desperation of living a double life.
