Can I just say John Harper, that this sheet in particular (and all the prompt sheets in general) are bloody brililant! Thanks so much for taking the time to create them.
I’m slowly getting ‘staid’ in my descriptions of ephemera and the mundane in Doskvol. Tending to use the same old same old. These sheets save my arse EVERY time from becoming a boring ol’ scene framer or director of photography in our game 🙂
Maybe Nathan Rockwood could make a GM’s Apprentice set of Cards paricularly for Blades?
Ah, great idea! Love the GM’s apprentice cards!
I’d really like to secretly video next week’s session, but I don’t want to cause stagefright.
No need for cloak and dagger Matt Horam! Lets do it! I have not the technical fortitude to supply the requisite microphones and recording devices.
I think it may be a great way to showcase the game though 🙂
Nathan Roberts I have a handheld stereo mic with an SD slot, but the camera’s not the best. Don’t want to put your players on the spot, either! That’s your job.
Ha Ha! That all comes down to careful editing no? We can only ask, and If anyone is uncomfortable with audio / video, then that’s totally cool 🙂
Amen. I added all those lists to my “NPC Generator” in case you want a whole scene out of the hat, or even just a detail (even though I’ve been moving more to prefer physical paper for game reference after years of over reliance on a laptop).
Yeah Adam, your generator is fantastic! though I like the fact with the paper sheet, you can see ALL the options, and pick and choose as inspired.
Kinda dumb side question – are these generator pages in the rules?
I, uh, haven’t actually looked at them yet. Perhaps weirdly, I’m holding off until I’ve got the hardbacks in hand…
Yup, there are a whole bunch of random (NPC / location / score / daemon / sights and sounds / rumours / trappings etc) generators. Adam has put them all into his O/L spreadsheet linked above.
Awesome. Thank you!
You could also use the online generator I created at http://randomblades.azurewebsites.net/ , but I agree with Nathan that sometimes to have all the options in paper before you is better.
There are a couple of random charts in Ghost Lines that should fit in here too.
