    Fun fact: The original Blades playbooks were little booklets like this. It’s a good format. I put character creation + character name on the cover, all of the guts of the playbook in the inside spread, and mechanics reference on the back.

  2. I wanted something that worked for single-sided printing so it was easy for most people to print.

  3. When I first saw the quickstart I immediately noticed how well the design and copy worked together, especially on the character sheets. I thought “The writer and designer must be really good friends, this takes some serious trust/cooperation to work out so neatly.” Cue me flipping to the credits. Ah.
