So……. asking for a friend…… Say two lightning towers got blown up. And let’s say a bunch of ghosts got in. What kind of Tier would that faction of Ancient, Vicious, Hungry Ghost Interlopers warrant before the Sparkwrights could patch the gap?
So.
So.
I would say 3 since both the horde and reconciled are that Tier, but i guess it could also depend on how many got in since size is based on Tier.
I’m not sure they’re a faction so much as a force of nature. Maybe look at the Arcane Magnitude table?
Also highly debatable that they’re working together.
First thought was: Are they acting together like a faction would? Would they secure turf, gaining power step by step? I’m more with Will Scott and see them as a force of nature.
Did the quickstart have fronts? Because this totally sounds like a front.
Nope, quickstart don’t have fronts… planning to use them anyway because it’s a cool concept 🙂
Fronts are a mechanic that should be put into every setting…
(What are fronts?)
(Adam Brimmer Fronts are a thing from Apocalypse World and Dungeon World; its a tool to organize the various dangers of an overall situation, and keep track of how they intend to develop.)
you could do it as a race clock with the Deathland Spirits and Sparkwrights/Spirit Wardens and play it out on the faction turn.
Something like:
Deathland Spirits: possess all of Duskwall 0/8
Sparkwrights: Fix the wall 0/6
Spirit Wardens: contain and destroy the Deathland Spirits 0/8
They could even pull in other factions to help for example they could pull in the Rail Jacks and Silver Nails to help cleaning up the spirits(Silver Nails probably would decline if asked because they hate the spirit wardens but they may do it to prevent Duskwall from certain doom)
Thanks Alfred!
