I do, however, have the perverse desire to hack it (particularly the Crew section) to make a settlement building game

  1. That’s an interesting thought. The big question for me is whether you can keep it interesting and the action flowing. I can definitely imagine a hack inspired by King of the Dragon Pass (a pretty obscure reference, I know).

  2. Well, that’s where I think having different Crew/Settlement sheets would be a big benefit, as allows the players to really telegraph the sort of game they want. Depending on the style, the game could run a gamut of differing genres, from lighthearted slice of life to a war-stricken stronghold

  3. One way to do it would be seasonal; instead of “heist/downtime” you could have four seasons, with things that need to happen in those seasons and also room for long term project clocks. Then when crisis points hit, drop into real time playing.
