So how much has layout / presentation altered the meaning of the text?
Is it just me, or are the maps mirrored here?
Dylan Boates I wondered if anyone would notice! I realized while laying out the book that I had accidentally mirrored the map in the QS. So now it’s back to its proper form. 🙂
Christoph Sapinsky Layout and writing are always closely linked for me. I write into the layout, and I adjust the layout as I write.
I am chomping at the bit to get my hands on all this goodness!
Love the amount of detail here. Not too much nor too little. It is baby bear.
Mirrored AND rotated 90 degrees. That’s going to mess with my players immensely. 🙂
I’m so loving these: the details and traits parts in particular.
John Harper: Are factions going to be tied to each district?
I have faith that they can cope, Ben. 🙂
Thanks, Matthew Gagan! It took a lot of messing about to hit a sweet spot. Glad it’s working for ya.
MisterTia86 No. Factions can be located as needed for your series. There will be some connections with NPCs (like how Lord Strangford is part of the City Council, Church of Ecstasy and the Leviathan Hunters).
John Harper I don’t have enough info to do the math, but is there a chance I will be able to buy a hard copy at GoPlay NW?
I love how this looks like a page out of a DK tourism book. “For quick eats in Crow’s Foot…”
killer
Will there be 2 pages fir each district?
This is amazing.
Very excited for the full finished glorious book!
Brilliant cutaway highlighting the relative position on the full map, more books need this!
Weird, years ago I prototyped a game with district sheets very similar to this. Must be why I like Blades so very much, it hits the notes I was trying to achieve and actually works.
Yeeeesh! Will there be spreads for the other nations?
2 pages per district, yeah.
The other provinces of the Imperium will be supplements, not in the core book.
Curses! I hoped to take my cousins to Iruvia for a spell. I suppose Doskvol will have to done for now.
Also, those Traits? What are those?
Nice! Definitely looking forward to this!
Looks awesome! Seems to cover everything necessary in a compact amount of space. 🙂
Oh, that’s nice :]
So awesome. Love the flavour of the district this section evokes. Provides room for growth.
That little map with Brightstone darkened looks sideways and inverted? Did I miss something? Well, I missed a lot of things. But… anyways 🙂
I like the bridge!
Between the new name, the new orientation (the old one didn’t seem oriented right with the coast its on on the the larger scale map) and the tons of detail I feel a lot better about starting a new game in Duskvol. I’ve been in 4 different iterations of this city already. It’s a bit much. This feels really good though, like it’ll help make it all fresh again 🙂
