Question: Is it okay to start a Cutter with a Forgotten Gods advance if I give them the trauma level?
Answer: No. It is not okay, it is UNFATHOMABLY AMAZING. MAY THE TWISTING MAELSTROM OF GRATER BLADES IN THE MAW OF THE VOID REND THE SOULS OF MY ENEMIES AS I HAVE RENT THEIR BODIES.
Yes, and…
what did you have to do to open your mind to the thought tendrils of a forgotten god?
because… yeesh.
John Harper He’s an adopted son who landed himself in Ironhook at 14 after murdering his younger, legitimate stepbrother, and the people of Ironhook dehumanize him, grinding him down from the auspicious son of a Ship Captain to someone desperate for revenge and richly malevolent toward everything. So, a couple of days, he escapes the watch of the guards to pace the most empty corridors of Ironhook. In a vivid, ‘nothing left to save me’ visualization, he fantasizes about building the Maw of the Void from scratch; just like building a car from its base parts, only something the size of Universes: screwing more than trillions of bladed rings into its cheeks. He thinks he’s the architect of a forgotten god, but this was just its way of penetrating into his mind. He’s delusional, and thinks The Maw is an occult-empowered manifestation of his own personality. Of course, this will eventually overwhelm and totally consume him, and he will become this fantasy he flees to for some semblance of protection and justice.
Trust me! 😉 I didn’t forget about it, the justification was lost in the summary of it all.
Well. Okay then.
John Harper From making a game of the year to reading shitty two page backstories from people who aren’t even in your gaming group, all in a days work. 😉 lolÂ
ha!
You know, it’s really great how many of the questions that need answering to open up those side/hidden advances can really be boiled down to, “OH GOD WHYYYYYYYY?! WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO YOURSELF?”
