Question on recovery and vice.

Question on recovery and vice.

Question on recovery and vice. I have got a few friends to play and I can’t find the rules to figure out somethings. 1st In downtime you “roll action dot” for recovery rolls. what does action dot mean? 2nd how do you increase your vice rating?

  1. So the recovery roll is a different action from the vice roll. Recovery helps clear off conditions earned. You chose a relevant action based on the the condition (like stitch for a wound) and use the chart to find out how far you advance towards recovering. Vice is only for clearing out stress. It increases in dots only as the character accumulates trauma, representing that the harsher the characters past the more the turn to thier vice to cope.

  2. What David Rothfeder said.

Recovery is only for lasting effects, so if you suffer from a “stabbed In the ribs” clock, you should test your action Stitch, but if you suffer from “haunted by the murder of mr. Cogs” you might test Attune instead.
