A map of the city and a few NPC for our playtest (which will take place in Wastburg, not Duskwall).

Wow, impressive..
Paging John Harper because I think he has to see the quality of that map.

Wastburg in color, if needed.
Wow! Gorgeous work.
Why can these guys NEVER be in my gaming group?!?
All this material comes from a French RPG based on a novel.
The novel follows several guards who try to survive in a rotten but free city stranded on the isthmus of a river. Magic has vanished a generation ago, horses are dying, and the streets are full of scoundrels.
In the RPG, we focuse on the Guard, but as you know, watchmen are only a band like others in that kind of place.
So Blades in the Dark is the perfect game for me to play an another kind of bastards in Wastburg.
Were you the one responsible for the awesome art, Cédric Ferrand?
No, I’m only the novelist.
The map is Gary Chalk’s work, and the characters are drawn by Rolland Barthélémy.
Gary Chalk did that kind of work for our RPG:

The cover of the softcovert version of the novel give a good idea of the ambience, too:
