  1. I stand by my interpretation ๐Ÿ™‚

“Get the harpoons, we’re going hunting “

“That pun, it hurts.” meaning the harr-pun.. ?!ย

  2. Say “Never Cease” and “Never Seas” out loud.

I grew up in a very pun-oriented household; I tend to jump at shadows, where wordplay is concerned.

  3. I don’t get it either. Too busy thinking about how in the world you keep a leviathan from diving deep after you harpoon it. You might need to equip your whaling boats with extra lift to keep them from being pulled under like those Jaws barrels. Maybe they come with inflatable Zeppelin bags you can trigger once you hook in?

  4. It definitely is. I mean, adapting Dark Heart to Blades should be pretty straightforward, since they’ve both fed on each other from basically the beginning. Dark Heart emerged from conversations on urban fantasy and desperate freelancers with John, and running World of Dungeons is part of what led John to this point, I suspect. But to fully integrate Planarch and Blades could be a major project, particularly if I really want to get into the details of planar freelancing on other planes, plus all the colonialist themes that brings up. So I want to let that stew for a while.

  5. Agreed J. Walton.

Interestingly – I used to run Planescape entirely within the city of Sigil. It’s such a rich environment, so full of opportunity, that I rarely felt the need to venture through its portals.

“This city… Sit still long enough and whatever you’re after will make its way through Sigil. Of course, you’ll need someone to actually find it for you! The city’s a mysterious maze of streets and alleyways; mysterious in how many ways it can kill you, at least. Nah… best you find a good place to sleep, and let me an’ my crew track down that relic you inquired about… for a fee of course!”

  6. For sure. You should never feel like you HAVE to leave Duskwall or Dis. They are full of amazing things to keep you busy; I would just want it to be equally badass and feel fairly different when you do! I feel like I’ve played some world-hopping stuff that felt a bit watered-down or same-y and want to make sure I handle that right. Otherwise, Dis’s destruction of all other planes doesn’t feel tragic and awful, just like the march of progress.
